Highlights
- A perfect scenic stop along the Milk Road
Located along the popular touring route known as the Milk Road, this observatory is a great place to take a break and refresh while soaking in Aso’s breathtaking landscapes. - Panoramic views of Mt. Aso, Komezuka, and the Aso Caldera
From the elevated platform, you can enjoy sweeping views of the iconic Five Peaks of Aso, the uniquely shaped Komezuka hill, and the expansive Aso Valley. It’s a fantastic photo opportunity and a must-visit for nature lovers. - A skywalk-like pathway for an unforgettable view
Take a stroll along the beautifully maintained path that feels like you’re walking in the sky. It’s an immersive and surreal experience—if you’re not afraid of heights, don’t miss walking to the end!
Quick Impression
I was lucky to visit on a sunny day and had an absolutely stunning view of the Aso mountains. Compared to the more famous Daikanbo lookout, this spot offers a quieter atmosphere where you can truly feel the grandeur of nature. It’s a hidden gem that I highly recommend for riders looking for a peaceful yet awe-inspiring stop during their tour.
