Quick Impression
Each time I drove the Yamanami Highway, I was intrigued by the large cow statue by the roadside—so I finally decided to stop at Bebenko.
The restaurant operates with a self-service system using vending machine tickets, making it easy for solo travelers as well. After ordering, you wait for your number to be called to pick up your food.
Luckily, there was a spot open on the terrace, so I enjoyed my lunch while soaking in the spectacular views of the Kuju mountain range. The menu offered a wide variety—from set meals and curries to udon noodles—all generously portioned. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but considering the scenery and location, I found it well worth it.
