Quick Impression
During a motorcycle tour through Beppu, I stopped by Ramen Furari, a spot highly rated in local reviews. True to its reputation, the restaurant draws long lines, so I recommend avoiding peak hours (especially 11:30–13:00).
This time, I ordered the Chuka Soba. The broth, made with a blend of seafood and chicken stock, was deep and flavorful, with a subtle touch of yuzu adding a refreshing note. Well-balanced and never overpowering, it was a bowl I could enjoy to the last drop. The shop’s signature Niboshi Shoyu Ramen (dried sardine soy sauce) is also popular, though its strong seafood flavor may not suit all tastes. Personally, I’d recommend the Chuka Soba for its harmony of flavors.
The restaurant offers car parking, but there’s no dedicated space for bikes — so visiting during off-peak hours is ideal if you’re touring on two wheels.
